What makes this photography so unique?

The unconventional thinker Gabriel Voisin (together with French designer Andre Lefebvre - famous for his Citroën 2CV and DS designs) had created what might be thought of as the first rudimentary ground effect Grand Prix racing car.

A rare and fascinating glass plate negative directly issued from Avions Voisin archives.
